Conceived and curated by filmmaker Joe Hahn, BEAST ASTRAY is an exhibit of artwork inspired by the motion picture, MALL. As an active participant within the art community, Hahn called upon his peers comprised of over 30+ critically acclaimed artists to interpret his film. The exhibit opens on Thursday September 25th at Known Gallery (441 N. Fairfax Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90036) and will continue to be on show until October 5th.

MALL is the debut feature film by Joe Hahn of LINKIN PARK. Co-starring Vincent D’Onofrio (who pulls triple duty as star/ producer/ screenwriter), Cameron Monaghan (TV’s SHAMELESS) and Gina Gershon (KILLER JOE), MALL examines a group of disaffected suburbanites who find themselves at a shopping mall in the midst of a seemingly random shooting. The film will be distributed throughout North American theaters and all major digital platforms on October 17th via Paragon Pictures in association with Silver Lining Entertainment.

As a member of the multi-platinum Grammy-winning rock band, Hahn is responsible for the beats, programming and keyboard heard in LINKIN PARK. He has also directed as many as 30 of the band’s ground-breaking music videos, and over a dozen short films and music videos for other musical acts. Now Hahn is making his full feature directorial debut with MALL, featuring a script adapted from Eric Bogosian’s 2001 novel of the same name by D’Onofrio, Joe Vinciguerra, and Sam Bisbee. “I find it refreshing to see this kind of point-of-view in contrast to today’s society that interacts digitally,” Hahn recently explained to Mashable. “When I read this script, it felt real and refreshing to show how ugly people can be as they hide their inner beasts after cracking their facades.”

Earlier this summer, Paragon Pictures, led by Evan Crooke, picked up the North American rights to MALL. As the theatrical distribution division of Osiris Entertainment, Paragon Pictures will release MALL nationwide. More information about MALL can be found through Facebook.com/MallMovie and Twitter at @MallMovie.

New LINKIN PARK album | A THOUSAND SUNS

July 26 2010 . 04:24am

Hey Casey…Thanks for reaching out. The pre-order went up today–we’re really excited. It’s the first time we’ve been able to sell direct-to-fan from our website, so we wanted to go big: if you buy anything (even the skate deck or the t-shirt), you get the digital version of the album for free. Everyone who buys anything gets that, plus access to presale concert tickets, so you get better seats (But you don’t need to worry about the seats thing–you know we’ll always have room for you and the crew at the show). And the digital versions of everything as early as humanly possible.

The skate deck is a real winner. Pro-level, skate-able quality, sick art. Hand signed by all the guys in the band, and limited to 1000 copies in the world. $99.99

As for A THOUSAND SUNS…The album is our most adventurous yet. We took a lot of risks on this one: some of the craziest sounds and a couple of the longest songs in our career. As a general idea, it’s kinda a response to what’s going on in popular music: too many people are focused on "singles" and putting things together in poppy, bite sized pieces…so we decided to do the opposite. We’re making a case for "the album." If someone wants to listen to it in pieces, it works that way…but they’ll be missing out on the experience you get on if you hear it as a whole. We really put our hearts into this one; I think it’s pretty special. It comes out on September 14th.

The Seventh Letter x Linkin Park x Monster Tour Water

September 13 2009 . 06:42pm

So our friend Joe Hahn had these delivered the other day. Ewok and Eklips did all the art direction/graphics for the last Projekt Revolution for Linkin Park and I guess they decided to make Monster tour water with some of the graphics.
