STUSSY x RICOH GR III: ARTIST PROJECT
The Ricoh GR camera has a long history within Stussy’s roots. From the late 90’s onto today, the GR’s stealth design, easy-carry pocket size and ability to capture all the grit of the streets, has made the GR an icon within our culture.

In celebration of the collaboration of the Stussy x GRIII Digital camera, we wanted to share the GRIII’s capabilities by way of creation. We’ve given 10 photographer friends the GRIII to shoot what they see and feel.

Participating artists include: Angela Boatwright, Kenneth Cappello, Reggie Casagrande, Josh Cheuse, Atiba Jefferson, Tyrone Lebon, Ari Marcopoulos, Juan Puente, Peter Sutherland, and Rip Zinger.

Name Tagging with Martha Cooper

June 10 2010 . 10:24pm

Last month, pioneering Hip-Hop documentarian Martha Cooper debuted her newest publication Name Tagging at the OBEY Pop-Up Shop. Covering the prevalent notion of tagging with stickers once used primarily in the corporate environment, we took the opportunity to visit with Martha Cooper regarding her book, her contributions to graffiti and Hip-Hop and the importance of her getting involved early on as a photographer and the difficulty current photographers face.
