Ed Templeton releases his latest photography book titled Wayward Cognitions

October 10 2014 . 09:59pm

Ed Templeton recently released his latest photography book titled Wayward Cognitions, published by Thomas Campbell’s Um Yeah Arts, showing 20 years worth of capturing street life in it’s purest, rawest form. The skateboarding legend, artist and photographer, whose books such as Teenage Smokers and Teenage Kissers influenced a whole generation of young photographers, this time published a book that isn’t capturing or exploring a certain theme, but gives a good peek inside his extensive archives.

As well as an epic interview with Ed – in which skateboarding’s favourite expressionist reflects on his Huntington Beach history, artistic inspirations and the community of likeminded DIYers he surrounds himself with – The Ed Templeton Issue also features in-depth interviews and beautiful photoshoots with the likes of photographer Tobin Yelland, Hamburger Eyes publisher Ray Potes, painter Ashley Macomber and street-shooter collective The Deadbeat Club.

Aaron Rose’s Fire Sale video and closing day event Saturday July 21, 2012

July 21 2012 . 01:23am

Almost a month ago, a very good friend to so many people, Andreas Trolf was in a very serious motorbike accident.
While we are grateful daily that we still have him in our lives, after three weeks in hospital, countless surgeries and a long road ahead to recover, his medical costs are huge.

The woman who hit Andreas was both unlicensed and uninsured which leaves the financial burden on Andreas.

As a small gesture to try and help in this awful situation, Aaron Rose’s Fire Sale, currently up at Known Gallery will donate 100% of proceeds on Saturday July 21 to Andreas’ recovery fund.

It is the final day of the sale and there are still countless bargains to be had. None of the items will be priced, rather it will be a donation system, with each person donating whatever they wish to the fund in exchange for their purchases.
